We spent last week in the Western Algave (the place that was once the end of the earth) amongst the fishermen and surfers and the wild Atlantic. I have come back wholly inspired. There is, out there in that remote part of Europe, something that appears to seep within and makes you question what you find important.

We spend such a lot of our lives aiming for what we think we need and, yet, out there - the force and beauty of nature; the age old images of a fisherman working at nets; afternoons spent with family, and the wonder of what can be gathered from land and sea brings to bear all of the nonsense that we strive for, and all of the beauty and wholeness that can come from a simpler life.
