The lovely Cath at Ickle Bockles sent me a selection of products to try a couple of weeks ago and I have been trying them out for the past few days. I was really looking forward to using them as I have been following Ickle Bockles for a while on Twitter and had heard good things about their great range of travel-sized bottles and travel kits which are ideal for decanting shampoos and shower gels into for the gym and holidays and the like.
When it came to their range of cosmetics, however, I was completely in the dark and so when I was offered the chance to review them I jumped at the chance to try something new. I am so pleased I did: I love natural products and not only are Ickle Bockles products completely SLS and Paraben free but they also contain a host of essential oils: all sounds pretty good.
Here's what I thought:
Lavender and Geranium Calming Shower Gel & Bath Foam* contains my absolute favourite oils: geranium, rosewood & lavender. The smell is insane and I am so impressed with it. It leaves the skin smooth and in no way at all strips any natural oils or leaves any tightness or dryness. I also used this product in the bath the morning after a late night and it's beautiful relaxing and balancing fragrance really set me up for the day and really did away with any tensions that would have otherwise resulted in a headache later in the day.
Ginko Biloba Shampoo & Ginko Biloba Conditioner* -these two products are especially formulated for fine, fair or blonde hair which makes them ideally suited to me as I am all three. I can often find hair products overly drying for my coloured hair but I was really quite pleseantly surpised with these as not only did they leave my hair smooth and moisturised - right to the ends - but they were light enough to make sure that my blow-dry wasn't as flat as a pancake by tea time - a huge problem of mine!
If you are looking for really lovely and yet great value products (only £2.95 a bottle) I would really recommend these. The gentleness of them on your skin really makes them shine and as they all 100ml size they are fantastic in aeroplane hand luggage!
