REVIEW: Aromatherapy Associates Rose Hydrating Skincare

I can't resist a good freebie and so when I saw that Marie Claire were giving away three trial sizes of Aromatherapy Associates' Hydrating Skincare Range with their June issue, I immediately got down to the newsagents and picked up a copy.

I have been wanting to try out more Aromatherapy Associates goodies for ages and this seemed like and ideal chance.  Here's how I found them:

Renewing Rose Cleanser // 10ml - a fragrant cream cleanser to either rinse or wipe off.  Smells insanely lovely of, what-else but, roses but if you don't like heavily scented products I would steer clear!  My skins felt really soft and fragrant after use but possibly not as fresh as I would have liked perhaps down to the fact that I'm usually a gel-based face-wash gal! Triple Rose Renewing Moisturiser // 5ml - The hero of this set, this moisturiser goes a long way, spreads beautifully and left my face feeling velvety soft, dewy and ultra moisturised.  Geranium essential oil balanced my combination skin and the extracts of shea butter and almond oil ensured it was protected against outside aggressor such a wind and rain (we have lot of that).  I liked too that this product included Frankincense which I find wondefully restorative on my skin.  A really beauty find! Rose Face Mask // 15ml - I was fully expecting a cream mask to pop out of this little tube but, lo and behold, it's a gel.  Aloe Vera based with the addition of rose water and Sodium Hyaluronate (read Hyaluronic Acid but more easily absorbed by the skin), I was really impressed with how quickly my skin drank it in and how light, fresh and, most importantly, moisturised it left my skin feeling.  Great to use as an overnight mask and over a facial oil for extra clout. Retail Price: £37-00
