A SPECIAL #100HAPPYDAYS: DAYS FORTY-TWO TO FORTY-EIGHT

Day 42: soup making on a dismal rainy Sunday // Day 43: scoffing cherries // Day 44: looking at the sea, watching the sky and feeling the sun on my back.

Dy 45: my Wednesday night yoga class // Day 46: a new hair do!

Day 47: a few wee hours with my pregnacy book // Day 48: Saturday afternoon cuddles with my favourite peeps.

This week's #100happydays are beautifully simple ones and cultimate in a tale as old as humanity itself: we are expecting a baby

We had our 12 week scan a couple of weeks ago transforming what was previously only a half-truth into an excruciatingly beautiful reality and our lives have shifted in a heartbeat to an altered version of what previously was.  To see our tiny human form wriggling and kicking on a small hospital monitor was without doubt the most humbling experience of my life and brought to bear the sheer power, wisdom and miracle of mother natures creation, making me grateful for the inherent connection between the earth and her guidance as we walk on it.

We are of the mother; I am because of mine; she is because of hers, and now I have found myself a part of  bigger whole, cultivating a sacred existence within me and embracing the wisdom of all that has gone before.

I am grateful beyond words.  These are my happy days.

What have yours been?

  1. Congratulations, is this your first baby? It is indeed a miracle and although babies are born everyday it is only when you have your own that you truly understand the miricle and wonder at the fact that you made every tiny finger, each toe, each little eyelash, tiny fingernail, all the internal organs that gives this tiny person life. You truly feel as though you are the first and only person who has ever performed such a miracle. Enjoy this special time whilst new life grows within you xxx
