I took a positive step in my life this week and started the #100happydays challenge after being inspired by a wonderful blog post over on LippyLikes.com.
The premise is simple: you register at 100happydays.com; take one picture, everyday, for a hundred consecutive days of something that makes you happy, and then post it to social media with the hashtag #100happydays.
It's fantastic way of making you pause and take stock of all the wonderful moments in the day that we too often dismiss through our glorification of how 'busy' we are; in fact an estimated 70% of people that take up the challenge fail citing being too busy as their reason. I think this is such a shame. It is the small, often 'insignificant' things that are often the most wonderful to look back on, and seeing the beauty in everyday things has already, in only five days, made me more mindful of moments in my day that ultimately combine to make a pretty decent whole.
