I have been gathering up quite a collection of blue glass bottles lately and one of my favourite ways to reuse them is by making my own aromatherapy room and linen spray.
Not only are they toxin free and super simple to make, they also smell amazing and impart all of the beautiful benefits of essential oils in the air.
You can use whatever essential oils you prefer but I do just love a simple blend of lavender and Geranium to gently sooth, relax and balance emotions. You could also use a pre-blended oil from Neals Yard (Women's Balance is a favourite and the Calming Blend is great for kids).
I use mine regularly around the house and think a few wee spritz on a freshly made bed is just lovely!
You will need:
A 100ml spray bottle (or scale up the recipe)
30ml vodka
60ml boiled and cooled (or filtered) water
30 drops essential oils (20 drops lavender and 10 drops Geranium) .
Combine the water and vodka in the bottle and add the essential oils. Close the lid and shake well.
You can use as and when desired - shaking the bottle well before each use (just test it on delicate surfaces of you are unsure).
Enjoy xx
