This may sounds like the most obvious of statements but as you will have guessed, I am a massive book geek.
We have hundreds of books in our house and I am a huge proponent of buying second hand as well as new, but I also love borrowing books from our local library too!
Anything to get books into childrens hands.
Over the past few months not only have we been making the most of the stack of lovely books that we get regularly from our local library but we have also been getting so many miles from the Free E-books and Audio Books available through Libraries NI too!
It is such a fantastic resource that, from what I can gather, seems to be massively underused and as well as e-books and audio books includes access to newspapers and magazines too.
We borrow audio books for the girls all the time and while I absolutely still (and probably always will) prefer hard copy books, it's great to have on hand and for stories in the car.
We access the Libraries Audio Catalogue via the Overdrive App (available for iOS and Android). It's so simple to sign up. Just download the app, slext your library service and sign in using your Library Membership Number. That's it.
Does anyone else use it?
